Munich, 5 January 2017 – IT companies Dell EMC and Intel invite business executives to the conference “The Next Now!”. Organized jointly with the IT specialist media COMPUTERWOCHE and CIO Magazine, this event explores the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation. It will take place on 16 January at the bcc – Berlin Congress Center. Participation is free.
The digital transformation is already in full swing today. All industries are required to adapt to the changing circumstances. For some time now, the only question is how quickly this development will continue. To raise awareness among senior executives, the organizing team has set up a high caliber program with proven experts.
Reinhard Sprenger, the most popular German author of management literature and renowned leadership expert, approaches the topic in his keynote address from the individual side. What challenges exist for me as a person and manager? What does our working and living environment look like in the digital age? What becomes of classic management structures and which qualifications become important, so that the employee gets more focus?
Frank Thelen, a well-known series founder and tech investor among others from the TV show “The Cave of the Lions”, sheds light on the topic from an entrepreneurial perspective. In doing so, he addresses the central question of how one’s own company will survive in the next ten years and talks about progress and obstacles on the way to the digital future.
On a third level, Richard David Precht, the most well-known active philosopher in Germany, deals with digital transformation from a social perspective. Together with the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister for Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Dorothee Bär, MP, he will answer the questions, where the society is developing and whether the advantages or disadvantages outweigh.
In addition, Martin Hofmann, CIO of Volkswagen AG, will explain how the transformation of one of the world’s largest companies can succeed. The people of Wolfsburg are currently working intensively on the networked car, on mobility concepts and on the electric vehicles of the future. Following the keynotes, the theses will be critically scrutinized in top-class panel discussions. Participants of the panel are Philipp Deperieux, CEO and founder of etventures, Florian Gmeinwieser, Head of Digital Business Hilti, Dr. Ing. Walter Grüner, CIO Kion Group and Markus Lipinsky, SVP Telematics and Digital Solutions MAN.
“We are delighted to be back for the conference ‘The Next Now!’ Experts from very different fields could win, “says Heinrich Vaske, editor-in-chief COMPUTERWOCHE. “In this way, we offer participants a comprehensive overview of this important topic. Our motivation is that everyone goes home with an idea of how the challenge of digital transformation becomes an opportunity. “
