Munich / Berlin, May 31, 2017 – The finalists of the Digital Leader Awards 2017 have been announced. Eighteen projects – three for each of the six categories – were nominated for an IDG Business Media and Dimension Data Germany award by a panel of experts from the media, business and science due to their outstanding achievements in digital transformation. Impressed by the large number of outstanding applications, the jury also decided to award four outstanding projects with a special prize.

“Selecting the most innovative from more than 90 forward-looking projects was really hard,” says Anke Anderie, General Manager of Human Resources, Operations and Workplaces at Dimension Data Germany and member of the jury. “The applications could hardly have been more different: From the start-up to the globally operating group, from industry to the service sector to public administration, the German corporate landscape impressively demonstrated how it copes with the digital transformation.”

The companies presented innovation hubs, novel workplace concepts or completely new business models. “We were amazed at how far advanced the content was across the entire field of applicants,” said Anderie. “The significance of digitization has noticeably increased in companies.”

The “Create Impact” category recognizes holistic, company-wide digitization strategies. The nominees are (in alphabetical order):
