Piramal Enterprise, on October 8, appointed Jairam Sridharan as the new Managing Director (MD) of DHFL.
Before joining Piramal Group, Jairam was associated with Axis Bank and held several responsibilities. Previously, he was appointed President of Retail Loans and Payments at Axis Bank and was tasked with driving the growth of the retail lending and payment business including retail lending products (home loans, home loans, to the car, personal and others), cards (credit, debit and prepaid) and agricultural and rural credit activity.
He was also associated with Capital One Financial, a consumer bank based in Richmond, Virginia (US) as responsible for “new customer†card acquisitions in the US card industry.

Jairam holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Kolkata, where he received an Honor Roll for his academic excellence.
